Alwinton to Shilmoor Farm:

As we leave the car park in Alwinton, we head West along the single track road for around a mile before taking a signed path on our left, and head over the fells climbing gently.  As we reach the brow of the hill, we have a magnificent view along the valley towards Shilmoor Farm (Video 2m 40s) and can plan our route as we descend into the valley, before heading along the river towards Shilmoor Farm.

Shilmoor Farm to Shilhope Law:

As we pass the farm (Video 3m 45s) and head along the River Coquet, we bear right through the gate heading up the fells to Inner Hill before continuing across the fells towards the trig point on Shillhope Law (Video 5m 30s)

Shilhope Law to Saughter Hill:

After taking in the 360^o view from the summit of Shilhope Law, we take a slight detour to the mapped route and head down into the valley West of Shilhope Law.  We pick up the line of Lee Cleugh before heading along towards Batailshiel Haugh and across the stream (Video 7m 40s).  We then head up the fells on our West and cut across behind Saughter Hill and head towards the wooded area.

Saughter Hill to Alwinton:

Once we have pulled around behind Saughter Hill, we pick up a forest road (Clennell Street), and follow the track for around a mile before turning off right (Video 7m 45s).  We continue along well defined and signposted tracks before eventually pulling down off the fells to the conclusion of our walk in Alwinton.
