Ingram Valley - Linhope Spout - Hedgehope Hill in Northumberland National Park

Such a varied walk.  Valley walking, a magnificent waterfall, trekking through hills and views from the top of Northumberland National Park, from Hedgehope Hill, at 715 m.  All in just 10 miles.

Ingram Valley – Linhope Spout – Hedgehope Hill (10.5 miles)

After parking the car at Hartside Farm in Ingram Valley we take the road heading west towards Linhope (Video 1:00). When exiting the Linhope we take the signed route for Linhope Spout (Video 1:55).  We start to climb slightly before we come to Linhope Spout, which is nestled in a small gorge (Video 3:45).

On leaving Linhope Spout we follow Linhope Burn on fell paths, continuing west.  It would be worth downloading the OS Maps GPS app onto your phone and uploading the mapping, otherwise you will need to use a map and compass across the fells as we head every upwards towards Comb Fell.  Once at 652m, we come across a fence, and we follow the fence north east towards Hedgehop Hill (Video 6:50), where it worth taking some time to appreciate the 360 degree views (Video 7:50)

On leaving Hedgehope Hill, we head south towards Dunmoor Hill, passing a felled and dead forestry area (Video 9:40), which is quite spooky.  Leaving Dunmoor Hill we head south with some magnificent views along Ingram Valley (Video 10:25) and the conclusion of our walk.
