Lilly Pilly & Mount Bishop Circular (6 miles)
Leaving the car park we pick up the path to Lilly Pilly Gully & Mount Bishop (Video 0.45). The path heads in a westerly direction and is well established, with some great scenery on the way. We have a good view of Mount Oberon from the path (Video 1:00). We reach the Lilly Pilly Gully Boardwalk (Video 2:10). The vegetation and foliage changes dramatically as we enter the boardwalk, many more ferns and mosses.
On leaving Lilly Pilly we follow the well-directed path to Mount Bishop and continue along the path, where we start to gently climb. As we reach the fork in the path (Video 5:35), we turn right, and start to see some of the views, which await us from the summit of Mount Bishop. The path winds itself along the hillside, and we reach the summit with some stunning views to the southern tip of Australia and the coast line. It is worth spending some time here to truly appreciate the views.
Our track now leads us back the same path. We eventually come to the fork in the path (Video 8:30), where we turn right and head back to the car park, concluding this really rewarding walk.
