This is such a tranquil walk with some varied walking. We start in the Historic Market Town of Hexham, before heading south with some excellent views across Tyne Valley, before reaching the picturesque village of Juniper. Heading along the ‘A Pennine Journey’ path, we have many bridge crossings, with a great backdrop. Once we have explored Dipton Woods we head towards Dilston with a great view of Corbridge, before our return journey to Hexham.

There is so much to experience in such a short walk. Starting at Wallington Hall we then head to the East Wood and Walled Gardens. It is worth spending some time to explore all that is on offer. Leaving the gardens we have a very pleasant walk along the River Wansbeck and wooded trails before reaching the village of Cambo. This can all be experienced in an easy intensity walk of 5.7 miles.

This is a great walk to take you away from day to day life with plenty to experience on the way. The path takes us across moors and fells, forest paths, where we trek along St Oswald’s Way before a tranquil walk around Fontburn Reservoir. We take in a disused rail track and some great views from the trig point as we conclude the walk. This can all be experienced in a medium intensity walk of 8.55 miles.

A great days walking. Taking in some places of genuine historic interest, some fabulous views, from a relatively low altitude. All of the benefits of climbing without the climb. What a great days walking, the trail is 9.25 miles with very little climbing.
This is a easy grade walk (5 Km – 3 Miles), with some great scenery, varied walking along trails and breath taking coastal views.
Remember, there is also a fly through video on YouTube

This is a relatively short walk (4.7 Miles), but reasonably demanding. We take in two sites where aircraft came down during World War II, and also peak on West Hill. The conditions in December were not great, but it was still a very rewarding day out.

This is a relatively easy 13 mile walk with lots of interest along the way. We pick up part of St Oswald’s Way path during the walk. Launching Plan Watch Walk’s new partnership agreement with OS Maps, and the introduction of full GPS routing, which is now available for all our walks.

Such a varied walk. Valley walking, a magnificent waterfall, trekking through hills and views from the top of Northumberland National Park, from Hedgehope Hill, at 715 m. All in just 10 miles.
