Hexham, Juniper, Dipton Woods & Dilston Circular Walk.

This is such a tranquil walk with some varied walking. We start in the Historic Market Town of Hexham, before heading south with some excellent views across Tyne Valley, before reaching the picturesque village of Juniper. Heading along the ‘A Pennine Journey’ path, we have many bridge crossings, with a great backdrop. Once we have explored Dipton Woods we head towards Dilston with a great view of Corbridge, before our return journey to Hexham.

Wallington Hall & Gardens, River & Cambo Walk.

There is so much to experience in such a short walk. Starting at Wallington Hall we then head to the East Wood and Walled Gardens. It is worth spending some time to explore all that is on offer. Leaving the gardens we have a very pleasant walk along the River Wansbeck and wooded trails before reaching the village of Cambo. This can all be experienced in an easy intensity walk of 5.7 miles.

Greenleighton Moor & Fontburn Reservoir Circular.

This is a great walk to take you away from day to day life with plenty to experience on the way. The path takes us across moors and fells, forest paths, where we trek along St Oswald’s Way before a tranquil walk around Fontburn Reservoir. We take in a disused rail track and some great views from the trig point as we conclude the walk. This can all be experienced in a medium intensity walk of 8.55 miles.

Historic Market Town of Morpeth, Surrounding Countryside & River Walking.

A great days walking. Taking in some places of genuine historic interest, some fabulous views, from a relatively low altitude. All of the benefits of climbing without the climb. What a great days walking, the trail is 9.25 miles with very little climbing. Wark Circular, taking in Ravensheugh Crags and The Goatstones, great views along the way.

Dunsdale to West Hill – Looking for World War II Wreckage in the Cheviot Hills.

This is a relatively short walk (4.7 Miles), but reasonably demanding. We take in two sites where aircraft came down during World War II, and also peak on West Hill. The conditions in December were not great, but it was still a very rewarding day out. Four Mile Beach & Flagstaff Hill – Port Douglas (Australia Series 3 of 3)

Walk 3 in the Australia series is a really enjoyable coastal walk and takes us to Port Douglas, where we walk along the headland of Flagstaff Hill. This leisurely walk is the most popular in Port Douglas as it is the only route actually in the township This is a easy grade walk (5 Km – 3 Miles), with some great scenery, varied walking along trails and breath taking coastal views. Lilly Pilly & Mount Bishop Circular (Australia Series 1 of 3)

We are now at Wilson Promontory National Park in Australia, on the southernmost tip of Australia. This is a moderate grade walk (9.5Km – 6 Miles), with some great scenery, varied walking along trails and stunning views from the peak of Mount Bishop at an elevation of 318Mtrs.
